How are assessments done?
Assessments are completed in various ways, it all depends on the situation: sessions, observations, interviews, and activities. They can sometimes be across different environments. This gives us a specific starting point to create goals and develop a plan just for you. Assessments can take several appointments.
Conducting an FBA
Primarily in the Education setting when there are barriers to learning or achieving a goal due to difficult behaviors, our Analysts are skilled at conducting a Functional Behavior Analysis. This helps to develop REPLACEMENT BEHAVIORS to teach and take the place of the difficult behavior.
Is ABA covered by Insurance?
Sometimes and it can be limited as to what type of behaviors and diagnoses are covered by insurance companies.

Team Approach - Are Caregivers and family involved in therapy?
YES! Behavior change is effective with consistency. Also, certain situations require a team approach, such as the age of a child or certain diagnosis, to meet and maintain goals across all environments. These teams can vary for example; caregivers, teachers, job coaches, to other support staff.
YES, we will work with the caregiver during our sessions. We do require everyone we work with follow the agreed-upon team Angel Access behavior plan and that it is managed by the Angel Access LBA when you contract our services ;)
We also love to consult with and observe other outside providers that the individual may be working with such as their SLP, OT, PT, or case managers. It is very important to be consistent and have excellent positive communication with all involved! We are open to as much information and support as possible that will help meet the goals we are working on and create independence.
Private Pay
Angel Access Therapy accepts Private Pay and Private Contracts.
